But when you hear why the flag is what it is, it sounds sensible enough: The crescent is for Islam, the blue stripes are for the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers and the yellow stripe is for the Kurds.
And yes, Bruce, the color of the crescent is UN blue. The IGC apparently came up with this flag...a signal, perhaps? |
