I was reading Joe Scarborough's response to all of this and he says this:

First, his name is Studds, so what do you expect.
Second, it shows that Democrats are better at picking cooperative underage gay partners, who won't rat them out. Yay Democrats.

Actually some of the Republicans were informed that Foley had issues

Dennis Hastert (R-Ill.) did not inform him about the incident, Hastert said yesterday, and he defended their actions in a Capitol Hill news conference.
