goddangit I kept thinking it looks like a piano--I don't know why, I didn't even see the keys.

Interesting observation that it resembles a 'transmission line' loudspeaker enclosure. It's probably using a similar principle?

In the first pic it's lying flat. In the second, it's standing on edge.

It's ~3 and a half inches long, ~an inch and a half wide/tall, and ~a quarter inch thick. It's made of rubber.

It did not come off of Batman's batbelt.

Looks to me as if it might be a spacer in some sort of drive shaft or other mechanical gubbins which also absorbs vibration.

I feel like I've seen that before, but can't put my finger on it. This is a good one.

I'm thinking of a pool cue bridge, I think. Except I don't think anybody would make one out of rubber. Too grippy. And the shape is wrong too.

There's a rust-colored residue in a general oval shape around the three central holes, as if it attached to something that shape.

Are the inside of those three holes slightly gouged out by threads? So it bolts onto something.

Or in between something, like it's a rubber washer.
