Yabbut xob this was the supply and distribution arms of the same company.

Anyhoo we have a nice shiny new meter now and the heating will eventually kick back in tonight (storage heaters).

So you didn't get excuses blaming the other guy, that's good. It's much better to only have to complain once.

What are these storage heaters of which you speak? I would guess they use off peak surplus to heat something, maybe water, to draw heat off during peak hours.
