I love beagles! They just seem like the doggiest of dogs. Not prissy, and they're smart, but still goofy enough to be your best buddy.
I once killed four of six in a litter, though, by overfeeding them. My dad and his buddies were gutting about five deer they'd bagged and I was feeding the puppies the scraps. That was the same year I tried to revive a huge catfish we caught by putting the waterhose in it's mouth.
