Actually we have any number of candidates for president, the trouble is the "third Party" guys like the Libertarian candidate or like Ralph Nader and his gang just don't get enough votes to have any sway in our peculiar electoral college system. I could go down and write in somebody's name on the presidential ballot if I felt like it, but much good THAT would do. No, we are not obligated to vote. It's a right which we can choose to exercise or not.
