You have my sympathy Griff. I have Crohn's disease so I have to go through that routine every three years or so. Hope you get to enjoy turkey day.

Is your case pretty serious or just more of an annoyance?

As one who had an ileostomy 12 years ago, I can tell you all that having your innards closely monitored can save your lives. It saved mine. Hopefully, you'll be able to head off and treat your conditions before they have to start harvesting malfunctioning internal organs.

It all depends on how you look at it, I guess. I live a pretty normal lifestyle and I still have all my plumbing - so that's all to the good. On the other hand, I have to be very careful not to eat any roughage. Anything that's not liquid by the time it gets to the bad spots hits a constriction and stops everything. Much pain and bad times follow.

Thank God for modern medicine. I'd have been dead at 21 if it hadn't been for steroids.
