I'm still getting a wee bit of a lag (maybe about 3-5 seconds, counting using the Mississippi method) on some page loads.

That is probably a local problem? Latency is down and bandwidth is up.

comcast is usually the last net service on the block to catch up with site location updates, so it may have something to do with that. Seems okay today.

Seems Comcast was crawling last night. Definitely slower since Christmas. Probably all those new PCs under the tree coming online. It makes me wonder if the information highway is destined to go the way of the interstate highways?

It seems to always get bigger to compensate, somehow. It's kind of scary when you start thinking about it.
