combine 2 egg yolks with 1 cup heavy cream

saute onion in butter till soft not brown stir in flour, wisk in pumpkin, add chiken broth and salt,
cover and simmer 15 minutes. Add spices, add yolks and cream, heat unitl hot not boiling.
