I think those are actually the two halves of the lower jaw, connected by ligaments in the skull structure.

Really, I thought they were the rear feet of the sheep. Hmmm, I see what you mean.
Well, if the sheep in down the hatch why would the mouth still be disjointed? Ah, maybe because of the hangman's noose around the neck.
