Sounds a bit like the sort of experience you can get from Baskin-Robbins' Double Dutch Chocolate Fudge ice cream, a seasonal flavor spoken of in whispers by veteran Baskin-Robbins countermen.
I haven't seen it in a couple decades, but BR employees tell me they've seen it around. The stuff is as near to opium as I've ever come.
