I'm sure that he took pride in all of his work, but I agree that the first few solo efforts were the most enthusiastic. And when you suffer a certain amount of loss, say- no profit whatsoever, I suppose everything begins to roll downhill (including much of the input for any side projects).

I spoke with Mr. Plant once as he was completing the vocals for "Manic Nirvana". We were scheming up another track that would be called "Aero Zeppelin".
