Netzero
Question - does anyone know very much about this provider?
We have our internet service thru our phone co, but since everyone in the household has a cell phone - I'm looking at getting rid of the phone (no since in the extra expense). I keep seeing commercials for them, but not sure. Any help would be great. |

I'll be your huckleberry -
If I'm not mistaken Netzero is a dailup ISP that charges something like $10 a month. Where I am you can get Verizon DSL for $15/month, which is like 5x faster than dialup or you can get cable (optimum online) for $30 which is almost 5x faster than DSL.

Verizon dsl is through the phone line. That's what we have. I don't think you can get dsl without also paying for local phone service.
To get rid of your phone you need to get cable or fiber optic (if available.) Both are probably more expensive than the money you would save on the phone. |

I always though of AOL as ol Beelzebub, and Netzero more like an offspring of the wicked one.
