I wouldn't kill a thread if it got off topic--I don't care about that at all. If it digressed to a topic or discussion that I found personally offensive, or into attacking me personally, or appeared to be making everyone unhappy, then I would want that option, either by my own hand, or through a moderator or admin's kind offices.
