Was it wrapped in aluminum foil, right next to some other unidentified object wrapped in foil? Don't know about your freezer, but I don't ever open any mystery foil bricks I find next to the Breyer's.

However, I'm a bit concerned about what glatt suspects is in the foil in his freezer!
