I have come to hate fireworks.
My neighborhood has been under siege every night since Memorial Day. Dogs going crazy. Not just firecrackers, and the jolting M80s, I can take that in moderation, man. This year we have the full on rocket launched, raining down of shrapnel. Into the wee hours, 2- 3 AM. And its way dry.

I've asked one house of lads to stop, at least after 10 PM on a Monday night. They waited until I went back inside, then resumed. Ive called the cops on a few really bad overnights, but they have bigger fish. We've found canisters and debris from them in our yard- hello mower! chunk!

I have a feeling its going to take a major accident for anything to change. Maybe I should hose down the garage?

Meanwhile, we did get a nice slab of salmon grilled up last night! yum!

Sounds like those kids need some hobbies up there, Warch...what the hell is wrong with you Minnesotans?!

Just for the record, I'm not advocating letting kids get seriously scarred or injured in order to introduce them to the dangers of the world. I'm just saying they need to burn themselves on a stove, fall and scrape a knee, etc.

I didn't think you advocating letting them play with knives and axes. I have heard from some that think kids are being coddled when parents put on band-aids and kiss the "ouchies." I just think that is sad.

Long live the pretty packaged gun powder!

Agreed...I just didn't want to come across as callous.
