I don't believe in fairytales.

I believe in reality.

I still get fucked around, but it's different.

No one's perfect.

It took me a while to realize that, and recognize that even though some things are really annoying (about Dazza) he's still a great husband and step dad and he's worth loving...and I know he thinks I'm worth loving too.

There's no such thing as fairytales. I reckon the sooner you stop hoping for that, the sooner you'll see what might just be right under your nose.

I don't believe in fairy tales, but I also don't believe that everything and everyone is shit. I think how you view yourself and the acceptance you have for your own failings and shortcomings affect how you view others. When you surround yourself with people who enrich your life instead of bring drama and chaos, your outlook is more positive (because your life is more positive).

I stopped looking for my knight in shining armor to come rescue me and said, fuck it..I gotta rescue myself. I'll do what makes ME happy and the rest of the world can like it, or lump it. I think you gotta stop looking for someone to make you happy (which just isn't possible). When you feel and act confident and self-sufficient, people (the enriching kind) are drawn to you quite naturally.

I know it sounds cheesy, but I made a list of the qualities I want in the people I allow into my life and I made a list of the qualities I want nothing to do with. . It works well, because I'd rather be alone than have have dysfunction all around me.
