I think its you who need to re-read the texts or manuscripts. The buddhist literature tends to acknowledge this world and all the higher dimensions as part of a singular truth. Often the dark half (our world) is potrayed as the female diety. The recognition of the other half is potrayed or symbolised as male diety. There is more than the literal meanings to what you read. Even the most of the chinese concept of ying-yang theory is based on similar guidelines.
