Moon-walker claims alien contact cover-up

People get nuttier the older they get. My dad, who I'm really pretty sure used to be a completely rational human being, has recently mentioned several times his genuine fear that computers will soon become sentient. He's not panicking yet, mind you, he's just sure it's coming. He keeps talking about HAL and Skynet.

A. I believe that there is probably intelligent life out there somewhere. But I don't think there's a shred of credible evidence that they've ever visited us, and I find it impossible to conceive that they have and that it's been covered up.

B. This is ironic in a way, because a large number of the people who believe this stuff also believe that Dr. Mitchell and his colleagues' trips to the moon were faked.

Well, Ray Kurzweil thinks the same thing. (Of course, some people think he's nutty too.)

It's either senility, or a clever attempt on the part of the aliens to keep us from believing in their existence by having people who should know about this kind of stuff say absurd things.

Be back later, I have to go get some replacement tinfoil. Maybe the heavy duty kind will be better ...
