I had to play judge in a community dog show the other weekend. There was the most adorable alsatian, called Maverick. The final prize (After Dog with Waggiest Tail, Nicest Eyes, Best handler etc) was Dog the Judge Would Most Like to Take Home.

Maverick got that prize:P

My German Shepherd Dog - that's what the folks over on this side of the pond call Alsatians, of course - is also named Maverick!!! We didn't name him, previous owners did. He came to us when he was four, and he'd had a tough life. I think he'd been abused as he was afraid of me (not DH - probably a woman was mean to him) and he just cowered around a lot, was scared to come inside. He's been with us for two years and WOW has he come a long way! He's a total sweetheart.

The black dog, who is some kind of black lab mix, is Rocky. He's a great dog too, not too bright, but very nice. If I could just get him to stop licking, licking, licking!!!! (sigh) Dog can't hold his licker.

We also have five cats and four chickens. WAY too many animals at this place.

Congrats Cicero! Widdle puppeh looks so adorable!

And I'm so sorry, gtown. Hershey looks a lot like one of my kitties.
