Mirepoix + garlic, shallots if I have any, red pepper flakes, and olive oil in the bottom of the soup pot on med until the carrots aren't hard. Add 3 cans of black beans 1 big can of whole tomatoes and blend until smooth. Add another can of black beans and 1-2 boxes of chicken stock depending on how thick you like it. Salt, pepper, etc... Could be topped with sour cream, fresh cilantro, bacon etc...

When I was about 6, Santa brought me a metal train. It was 6-year-old-boy-sized and although it had no built in design seat, I could sit on it. It was the best thing ever. It went 'too tooth' even though that was me. I loved my train and that was good because I was going to be a train driver when I grew up.
I remember then that it went (got stored one day) in a closet downstairs. And after that I never saw it again. I couldn't understand why, when I looked in the closet it wasn't there. But I knew in my heart I saw it go in there. I continued to look in the closet on and off until I was about 12 in the vain hope it was there and I had just missed it amongst the wellie boots and fallen overcoats and tool boxes. But I never saw it again. Only recently I was thinking about it again. In fact earlier today. And then I logged on I chanced upon this thread. Today my explanation is that my mother had borrowed it for Christmas Day or got it on loan from the shop because little boys need to have Santa visit. We had very little money and maybe Christmas was particularly tight that year. And after a few days of Christmas it went back to from wherever it came. And I have missed it ever since. For Christmas, I want my train back. Not any old train that looks like it, but that actual train. Santa, can you see? |

I got Wrath of the Lich King (play the movie, it's pretty cool - safe site). My son got the entire family a Wii, plus a couple games, and my bf got me:
