There are a lot of liberals who own guns. I think the argument lies in imposing certain kinds of gun control measures so guns don't fall into the wrong hands, which is a reasonable thing to want. The way the amendment is worded, unless you have had your rights stripped by a felony conviction by a jury of your peers, you should be able to walk down the street with a flamethrower, if that's what you want to do.
