This IS awfully unusual for a Monday. I had to work today (and of course, a firewall keeping me from hitting the net). The roads were rather quiet here in Philadelphia this morning. I would expect that in DC (b/c everyone except dham was probably off today

), but not here. Work was unusually quiet today...Monday is our busiest day. My only rationale was that, given the circumstances that occurred this year, people are taking Veterans Day more seriously. Veterans Day, while a federal holiday, is generally one of the more quiet holidays.

So. Now. For a question - how did you spend your holiday weekend?

I technically consider my weekend to start on Thursday at 5pm. I work on Saturday, but that's our quietest day of the week.
Lessee...no wine Thursday night. Watched TV and posted here. Friday: Started my laundry in the morning, when my dryer started making a God-awful noise (One of the main reasons we love living where we do--a full-size washer and dryer in our apartment). Waited for the maintenance staff to come over, but they never did. Finally went over to the office...they gave me a key to the common laundry area in the building next to me and told me they would have a new dryer installed Monday. Saturday night...TV, a few pints of Guinness. Sunday...football: Packers vs. Bears. (I was actually kinda pissed b/c they didn't show the Rams/Panthers game. Kurt Warner is God's representative on earth...ooops! Sorry!

) Then watched the Eagles drub the Vikings (great game!). Finally cleaned up the living room and kitchen. (The bedroom...that's another story.)
And so, I am home tonight...without a new dryer. Damnit!!!
