Well, I can't get to their apartment to ask, unless I use one of MB's drills to make a hole in the wall to talk through...eh.
Super magnets and 1200 watt speakers it is then! If nothing else, they will at least cause the power grid to go down for the evening. Thanks for the great suggestions.
