I had a great time in the sleepy little town of Benidorm, Spain. English was mostly spoken, my Spanish got me by everywhere else. Cheap drinks, no whores that I saw and Croc's, a bar featuring a live crocodile that did nothing but wait for someone to throw it a fish. It looked like it was hibernating but it was constantly alert. Scary the way it could hold totally still for hours and days at a time.

Vegas and Chicago naturally. Chicago for museums, culture and jazz clubs. And the best deep-dish pizza ever! Vegas, but not for gambling, I know some off off main street clubs that rock! And truck parking to boot!

Haifa, Israel was very interesting. I wish I could have done more traveling. But the ever-present spectre of death from above kind of put a damper on my visit.

Everyone should visit Egypt once. The stink will ruin the trip but the history will make up for it.

I was in Israel during the 70's. Things were a little hot at that point and I remember being patted down going into a movie theatre. The movie was "Three Days of the Condor", so the pre-movie search actually did do a nice job of getting me into a paranoid mood for the movie.
