Chat is meant to not be permanent. I would stop hanging out there if it were. When I post on the cellar I have to take into account that the wrong person might read my post, or that I'll have to re-read it and regret it. Not really either of those worries with chat.
I think its bullshit that its even being brought up. Drama spills over into chat more often then the other way around. That is why its kept "drama free." Point out examples of "chat drama spilling over."
