Extended bed time has made me feel a little better.

I spent time in theater, where the show must go on, so I would go even if I had a 104 fever and hallucinations.

I once saw a high school kid finish a performance of Hamlet after watching a lighting rig fall and land on his own mother in the audience. (He went straight to the hospital after curtain call, and yes, she was fine.)

I thought on-stage hallucinations were pretty much par for the course for professional musicians.

Ooh! I've been there!
Not in theatre, although I did fight through dress rehearsals with laryngitis and a different performance (luckily ensemble) with tonsillitis, where I don't remember getting home...

Still, I was sent home from school with a temp of 104 and Mum had a go at me because they sent me home in a taxi. Her attitude changed when she took my temp herself. But not enough that she didn't make me pick my school clothes up off the floor. I was lucky - I'd gone to bed in them when I first got home because I was so cold. Lord alone knows what she'd have done if she'd seen that, whipped me and sent me out into the garden most like.

Anyway, enough illness reminiscing.
Hope you're starting to feel better soon. Best wishes. And if you see that rocking giraffe, tell him I said Hi.
