Mum wanted me to come online to wish all Merkins a Happy Thanksgiving.
Really, she was quite insistent. You're lucky I'm on a limited budget, or she'd have expected me to send cards as well. She was weighing up whether to send Eid cards to the family across the close the other day. I advised against it because she's only going on the colour of their skin (I'm pretty sure they're Pakistani though, and also nominally Muslims) and has no idea whether they celebrate religious occasions. I was pleased by the intention though - she sends Christmas cards to our immediate neighbours, so all she wanted to do was make sure they weren't left out. Anyway. Happy Thanksgiving from me too. I'll think of you all bloated out later today
