Comcast paid Excite $160million to maintain operations so that Comcast can establish other options. Officially, Comcast needed three month to complete the installation of their network - bull. In reality, it is silly for Comcast to not be its own ISP. Maybe Excite gave them a rediculously low bid that Comcast could not ignore. However Comcast now has three months to either setup their own ISP connections to backbone providers or get someone else to host as ISP.

Anyrate, AT&T withdrew its bid for Excite remains even though Comcast paid that $160million.

This was the last press release. The commercials on TV are saying the service will be available in January.

*laughs*

Dham failed to include:

syc75 (1:45:03 AM): they're not bad...just posting to things i might have missed previously

Every now and then, I like to go through everything on the Cellar, just to see if there's anything I missed previously. Although, I DO want to hit that 900 mark...and I don't know why.

You, sir, are again a boner.

Dham means nothing. It is meaningless.

dham equates to "that dude that posts way more than he should", and, as such, has meaning.

Truth be told, I just hate the way that Dham looks. I'm very picky about capitals. I'll always start a sentence with the quoted name - be it "sycamore" or "Undertoad" - I never capitalize it if it's not originally. Maybe it's just me.
