				Hmmm - Evap air con

Looking for a little help please... My evap air con is playing up. The water stops flowing (out the over flow thingie) and the it's just blowing hot air. I'm assuming it has a little float thing in it, to regulate water flow? Anyway, my big problem is that I have a terracotta roof and I'm shit scared to climb on it... Can I? Where do I put my feet safely? I don't quite know what I'm going to do when I get up there, but I want to eliminate something stupid. |

A poor man's mineral solvent is lots of vinegar. But I would bet you must to completely disassemble the unit to properly remove minerals - to clean out obstructed pipes and heat transfer fins. If discussing only condensation water that drips from traditional air conditioning, well, that is means an air con repairman - and often a whole new unit featuring new non-ozone depleting gases. | |
