Hey, could the Aussies here answer a question for me?

The US and UK have flags of red, white and blue, and in international sports competitions, their athletes tend to wear one or a combination of the mentioned colors. Australia's flag colors are also red, white and blue. Yet, I noticed that the Aussies wore mostly green and gold during the last Olympics. Are the latter Australia's official colors?
