Probably getting a porn flick, no joke. Since the adults have eschewed cars, their offspring have no choice but to use what's available. They are not, however bound by the restrictions of the order until they join the order, no earlier than their late teens and no later than mid twenties. So, it has just occurred to me that the reason i dislike the amish so much is based purely in jealousy.

The theory is if they experience the evils of the "English" then joining the order is more significant in they can appreciate what they're giving up.

aside- Those "buggies" have hydraulic brakes, cigar lighters, lights and cost $5k or more. Amish buggies are gray and Mennonite buggies are black.

LEFT turn signals are a REAL good idea. The tourists gawk and follow but the natives just whip out around them without a second thought. The horses take the brunt of it.
