I'm assuming the UN initially started this deal with Iran so they could get an idea of how much uranium they have and what they are more or less doing with this.

While I wouldn't put it past Iran to use some of the 20% enriched for research to attempt to make it of higher grade, I'm sure someone will notice if 100 pounds of it suddenly goes missing.

They will never get that info from this deal. They may, however, just want to get a sample of it to the IAE or someother agency so they can id it.
