Crikey me I wish I'd realised that when I was your age.
Not blowing my own trumpet, but I look back and am well impressed with my looks.

I tell myself I will feel the same about myself now at 60.
Except I doubt I'll live that long!

Me too. That pic of me bungee jumping 22 years ago (fuck, that's a long time). I remember feeling horribly fat and self-conscious when I stepped on the scale to be weighed -yes, they -young men- weigh you to make sure they use the right elastic. Look at that pic, shit I was so skinny and unwrinkled...... I wish I had known that then. I'm not saying it only goes downhill from here, what I have now that I didn't have then is a shitload of self-confidence. But you are probably feeling far worse about your weight gain that it really is, especially with your other health problems and your change in your cohabiting arrangements. You are gorgeous, and if you do have an extra 50 pounds and you're not a liar, you're hiding it damn well.
