I'd love to see some pictures of your area, Sam.

Pix coming soon! I'll most likely post them in the Travel forum. And, Jim, once again I must thank you for your car value info. Knowing those things helped me knock down the price of that truck by about $2,000 which made all the difference!

cool. I traveled throughout the South West when jinx and I were on Tour, and again when we moved my Dad to Mission Viejo a couple years later, and I remember being astounded at how picturesque the area around the 4 corners was. I LOVED Durango. I want to move there.

@Dana - Naughty girl!
Jim, if you could survive the culture shock of life in a pretty remote part of the world after living in the Philly area, you'd love Durango. It's really a pretty classy small town. The college there gives it a bit of culture and there's terrific music all summer long just up the road in Telluride with their summer music festivals. Beware of winter, however. I've spent time during winter in Durango when exit and access from town was effectively blocked by avalanches on both Red Mountain and Wolf Creek Pass. Prepare to amuse yourself with the local Winterfest and Mardi Gras celebrations and invest in a good cable package! If you're serious, check out the Durango threads here: http://www.city-data.com/forum/colorado/ Last edited by SamIam; 04-29-2011 at 11:09 PM. |
