Damn Yankees sign A-Rod
Well we're (the Red Sux) screwed for the next few seasons. No it's not the fucking curse, its that we're too small to pay for good talent like A-Rod. I keep telling people as historic as Fenway is and how much it maintains the soul of baseball; we need a bigger, better stadium so that we can start selling more seats. More seats means bigger talent that can take us to the World Series.
The equasion is clear: Bigger ballpark + more ticket sales + bigger tallent = kicking the Yankees' candy stripped asses. |

There is a silver lining to this cloud--all that $$$ and talent does NOT guarantee the Yankees a title.

Nobody has ever won a world series with a hundred million dollar man on the payroll. I actually wanted Boston to sign A-Rod so I'd get to see him play more. His contract was(is) bad for baseball but I can't say I'm not enjoying the Red Sox getting stiffed. I'm bummed that Soriano is gone. All this money and the Yanks are still throwing all right handers... I'm thinking Cashmans pissed at George.
