March 16, 2012 - 45 Giant Tortoise Babies
 At Linton Zoo, Cambridgeshire (UK), 30 year old Kali has 45 babies. It sounds like they are from two clutches, hatched two months in a row. She is an African Spurred or Sulcata Giant Tortoise and the fun part is that they don't really know who the daddy is! The sad part is that the babies won't all be able to stay together. Can't wait to see the pics from that family reunion! I started at That Cute Site and ended up at AOL Travel UK. |
