So I am making a decision to be pure, and in a world of hate and confusion I see that the biggest 'sins' I have is this... "smoking" "masturbation" and "lying". I think smoking is going to be the hardest to stop. Masturbation for me is just the most pathetic thing and I am not really going too worry to much about it. Lying should be easy to stop because I don't really have much to lie about, I got hung up with a lying spirit there for a little while but I think it's gone. So how bout U. Do you have sins you'd like to repent of....
I think we can agree that Jesus was one of the good guys of history. To me "sin" is confined to doing ill to others. The three you mention are all connected together. They can be coping mechanisms, attempts to keep our head in the right place. Lying can have a significant effect on others, but it can also be a way of protecting others. I have to be careful with that one because I need to recognize when I'm a being avoidant, protective, or lazy about knowing my own mind. Smoking is not generally good for you, but if you need that to successfully relax your mental state it is actually a good. Masturbation is not a big deal unless it causes you to constantly objectify your fellow (wo)man leading to other de-humanizing behaviors. Letting go of the imposed guilt aspect of masturbation helps turn it into a healthy mechanism.

The main chink in my armor is anger management. I spend a lot of time on keeping my mental state healthy... when I'm not posting on the cellar.
