Giant surge

Folks, there was a 32 foot surge of water that came up the Hudson River flooding more than anyone could ever imagine. I heard first hand that boats were on tops of houses as far North as the Tappan Zee bridge and that's 30 miles away. If it didn't happen I would say that it is IMPOSSIBLE. The Hudson is at its widest point just North of Tappan, over a mile wide and the surge did not disapate, it's just impossible to comprehend.

When I visited Mississippi after Hurricane Katrina, I saw a lot of stuff like that. Boats on houses, firewood on tops of chimneys, waterlines on trees thirty miles inland. Let's face it, the river is at sea level. Raise "sea level" and that water's gonna move.
