10 years ago or so when the Angus BOD decided they need a campaign to counteract Peta etc and gene identity proved the existence of the tenderness gene.

Cool. So with a little candle light and wine, they can slip that tenderness gene into the Herefords. Maybe even the Shorthorns and Highlands.
