I don't know, sounds to me like a way to add a heart attack to the list.
Certainly there are people who maintain a healthy lifestyle without going to such extremes, or in fact any competitions.

But for people such as yourself who decide they want the challenge, then meet that goal, there must be a lot of personal satisfaction. If it's to prove to the world they're not over the hill, or any other personal reason, then that works too.

Like I said, you certainly earned congratulations on achieving your goal.

Results are in (ish) I was 100th overall (not sure out of how many -approx 150 ...there were 7 in my age/gender group and i was 6th but I was 1st in th transition from bike to run. I so rock. (secret is in putting bike down and start running )

why thank you. Up at 5 this morning for morning practice taxi. I'm knackered. i can still move but it feels like it might not be the case later on.....

It was a sprint/mini tri, by the way -400y pool swim, 12.4 miles (20K) bike and 3.1 miles (5K) run. My first, and probably my last.

Now, shall I go to the gym today? Or back to bed
