There have been at least two "Drive-through-trees" along that stretch of Rewoods over the years.
I have a photograph of my family driving through one in a 1941 De Soto in 1949.
The roads were still under re-construction after the war and were quite a challenge.

Wow, that more graphically shows the enormity of the tree!

Sadly, I have never seen it.

An interesting tidbit: it takes about 400 years for a fallen tree to become part of the forest floor.
