Just got my Tdap. Side effects: sore at injection site. No kidding! Geez...take some ibuprofen to relieve the pain, if needed, the nurse told me.
Anyways, I thought ob/gyns are gentler than regular doctors for those kinds of check-ups. WRONG! Maybe I need to change clinic. While both of the docs I saw were nice, I found them to be a bit patronizing. Or is it me? Maybe I need to have a more authoritative vibe.

As for OB/GYNs being gentler ... hard to say. Maybe your doc just did what was necessary and actually got the necessary samples, as opposed to someone who puts your comfort above all and doesn't actually do what's needed. However,'patronizing' is NEVER acceptable as an attitude during an exam, or any other sort of appointment. If you got this vibe, go elsewhere next time.
