For me, it really depends on the themes.
I love to take pics, and I'd love to see others with the same theme (without the element of competition because you know, losing and all that) and there are remarkable image capturers on here. I don't know that my tiny corner of the world would yield many opportunities. That would be the only reason I wouldn't participate. I'd certainly be an avid viewer if nothing else.
