Robert Reich is most definitely left wing. His article at Huffpost, "What I Learned on My Red State Book Tour" is interesting. OK, the truth is it jibes with what I suspected, so I naturally believe it, but still.

But something odd happened. It turned out that many of the conservative Republicans and Tea Partiers I met agreed with much of what I had to say -- and I agreed with them.

For example, most condemned what they called "crony capitalism," by which they mean big corporations getting sweetheart deals from the government because of lobbying and campaign contributions.

I met with group of small farmers in Missouri who were livid about growth of "factory farms" owned and run by big corporations, that abused land and cattle, damaged the environment, and ultimately harmed consumers. They claimed giant food processors were using their monopoly power to squeeze the farmers dry, and the government was doing squat about it because of Big Agriculture's money.

There was never anything called a patriotic American when he was an extremist liberal or extremist conservation. Note the anti-American and anti-humanity classicman who posts disparaging remarks and insults in another thread - without contributing any useful. His purpose is to promote hate; to view the world negatively as his political handlers have ordered him to believe. It explains his cheapshots.

Extremists hate the purpose of mankind: the advancement of mankind. Some so hate mankind as to love events that only did great harm to god, country, humanity, and all things that moderates understand. This hate resulted in Vietnam, Nicaragua, Radisson Hotel in Amman Jordan, Abu Ghraid, Mumbai, the Balkans (especially Srebrenica), My Lai and Kent State, Mission Accomplished war, Bali bombing, the near destruction of the entire world over Cuban Missiles, WTC, extraordinary rendition and Nazi like torture, Rwanda and Brunudi.

Wacko extremists view everything in terms of black and white; good vs evil; them vs us; their emotions vs intelligent people who learn facts before having a conclusion.

Pro vs Con is how extremists are told to see the world. Then one need not be educated like a moderate. Only modersates work their asses off to become educated - to not be wacko extremists.
