I saw The Martian. Liked it very much.
I saw The Visit. Liked it very much. I saw Black Mass. Liked it very much. Even though they're all RUBBISH, I liked them. ![]() (My big lonesome entertainment is to hit the theater for the first showing of the day on Fridays (not every Friday, just when there's something I want to see and I get up in time and I do try to catch up on sleep every now and again and it also depends if I drink wine when I get off my night job at 1 a.m. Friday morning) because I'm off my day job on Friday. It's cheap, and often no one else is even in the theater.) |

I saw that Room is coming out and has a lot of Oscar buzz.
I liked the book, but have no desire to see the movie. It just feels more unpleasant and real than the book felt to me. The book felt like a thriller, and the movie seems like a traumatic thing. |

Never let anyone tell you not to enjoy a terrible movie for whatever reason! Some of our consistent favorites are awful. Although, if my neighbor tries to get me to watch Wild Hogs or Roadside Prophets ONE MORE TIME...those are not my kind of awful. My kind of awful is best expressed as "I own like 25 Godzilla movies and all but about 5 of the snake-based creature features I know of, including Snake Island and Snakes on a Train."
