Not quite the same, but all the school districts were to be shut down on July 1st here in KS without a proper funding plan. The previous one was found to be unconstitutional, so the Legislature went back to the one before that.

Did I mention that moderate Republicans and Democrats gained in KS this year? And that Congressman Tim Huelskamp got primaried out?
