Rock salt is traditional for repelling unwanted guests.

Hurts like hell, usually not lethal.

I've also seen doorbuster rounds. Have partners coordinate shooting 'em into the hinges, door comes right off. Great for entry.

Once in riot training they had us line up and pelted us with rubber buck shot , damn that stuff hurts when it misses your flack vest !!!!!!!
