It's my friends 40th birthday, so it's my present to her. She was going to do her own cake (as mothers usually do if they want one), so I had to stop that.

You slice it like any other cake Zen. lol and then you gobble it up and say yumm.

Classic, the make up brush is there because when I sprinkled the 'sand' over the cake I had to brush it off the shells, firstly because it didn't look good, and secondly, because it wouldn't stick there anyway. (the sand was sugar with a bit of gold colouring mushed into it. I was pretty happy with how that bit turned out. It was the only thing I wasn't too sure of).

Anyway, I get to present it to her tomorrow. I hope she's going to like it.

She loved it, and it was all eaten. Good stuff.

My boys loved it so much we had to make one today for their lunches this week. It's much less fancy though. One layer with chocolate frosting and sprinkles.

About the brownies...did they taste good? If so, who cares what they look like.

You have great ideas. I put chopped pecans and sprinkles in the brownie batter. Yes they're scrumptious!

Tonight I was adventurous and made a pasta salad with a peanut sauce. It was pretty good.

Those flour shells look crispy. Are they fried? I thought not but they look scrumptious.

I love mexican food. I ate tacos all the time when I was pregnant for some reason. I just craved them. Not the typical pregnant food. *shrug*

right now, i am grilling some chicken breasts marinated n A1 cajun stuff and some zucchini with olive oil salt and pepper.

i burnt my thumb. but i put calendula on it and it doesn't hurt any more.
