Years ago (sadly) - in the late 60's (days of Led Zeppelin, Isaac Hayes, and such) - a good friend of mine spent a great time there - stayed 2 years - those were the days of penpals communications only, so long missives were the norm. Learned quite a bit about your city then - guess it's changed quite a bit in 35+ years though. This year, had the chance to meet some Toronto folk and from other parts of your fine country on a holiday trip to Cuba. You should post some photos of your city sometime - if not here then there are a couple of other threads here where this would suit.

Queen st. has really developed into a fashion district since the last time i was here, it wasn't always like that, I was kinda suprised! The city has really gone through some drastic changes in the past decade.

Toronto is one of the finest cities I've visited, clean, cultured, beautiful. Walked down Queen and had some great icewine from the Niagara, saw the Second City Comedy, and the Tower. With the lake right there and everything, it's a great place. Of course all this was in Summer....
