Everyone is given the presumption of "welcome."

Welcome. Join in. But, for God's sake, avoid Lumberjim.

Welcome too - haven't noticed many Canadians here before. One day I hope to visit. Where you from?

Years ago (sadly) - in the late 60's (days of Led Zeppelin, Isaac Hayes, and such) - a good friend of mine spent a great time there - stayed 2 years - those were the days of penpals communications only, so long missives were the norm. Learned quite a bit about your city then - guess it's changed quite a bit in 35+ years though. This year, had the chance to meet some Toronto folk and from other parts of your fine country on a holiday trip to Cuba. You should post some photos of your city sometime - if not here then there are a couple of other threads here where this would suit.

Queen st. has really developed into a fashion district since the last time i was here, it wasn't always like that, I was kinda suprised! The city has really gone through some drastic changes in the past decade.

Actually the winter here is much nicer than the summer
I don't know if I could say that about Winnipeg though, as it gets freakishly cold there
